Cookie policy

This translation is provided for information. In case of discrepancy, the Dutch version prevails.

In short: AutoCheckIn sets cookies that are technically necessary to make the service work and, in addition — only if you allow it — analytics cookies from Google and Meta on the public website. Those analytics cookies show us how visitors find us and whether our advertisements work. If you refuse them, we do not load them and everything works as normal. We never use them in the customer portal or the web app.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. We use them to know that it is you who is signed in and which company you are viewing, and — if you allow it — to measure visits and advertisements. In addition to cookies, we also use local storage in your browser for a few small preferences — this is also described further below.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are needed to sign in and stay signed in. They are only set when you sign in or use the web app and do not require consent.

Overview of the necessary cookies

sb-…-auth-token (incl. numbered parts .0, .1, …)Keeps you signed in after the SMS code. Without this cookie, you would have to sign in again on every page.Until you sign out (max. 1 year)autocheckin.be (Supabase authentication)
sb-…-auth-token-code-verifierTemporary security key during sign-in; links your request to the SMS code you receive.A few minutes, until sign-in is completeautocheckin.be (Supabase authentication)
active_company_idRemembers which company you selected in the company switcher, if you have access to several companies. The value is digitally signed so that it cannot be forged.30 daysautocheckin.be
dashboard_langRemembers the language (Dutch, French or English) in which you want to see the login, registration and dashboard pages.1 yearautocheckin.be
impersonate_company_idOnly for our own administrators: allows temporary viewing of a customer account in response to a support request. Not set for regular users.4 hoursautocheckin.be

3. Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

On the public website (home, features, information pages, registration), we ask for your consent to analytics cookies from Google Analytics and Meta. As long as you make no choice or refuse, no Google or Meta script whatsoever is loaded. These cookies therefore only appear after you have clicked “Accept”.

4. Local storage (not cookies)

This data is stored in your browser, not on our servers. Most of it only remembers a preference or a dismissed notice; only the origin data (last row) is sent to us — once, and exclusively at the moment you create an account.

5. Third-party services

In addition to the analytics services above, there are a few technical services your browser communicates with:

  • Google Analytics and Meta — only after your consent, see above. Google and Meta receive your IP address and technical browser data in the process; how they handle these is set out in their own privacy policies.
  • Fonts — are loaded from our own server, not from Google. No request is therefore sent to Google.
  • Maps (OpenStreetMap) — when setting up a site, your browser loads map images from OpenStreetMap. This sets no cookies, but OpenStreetMap does see your IP address.
  • Address autocomplete (Photon/Komoot) — while you type a site address, that search term is sent to the address service to retrieve suggestions. No cookies here either.
  • Stripe (invoicing) — only when you click through to the payment page or the billing portal do you leave our site, and Stripe's cookies and privacy policy then apply.
  • Vercel (hosting) — our website runs on Vercel. Vercel keeps technical server logs for security and availability, but does not place any cookies on your device.

6. What about consent?

Cookie legislation (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, in Belgium Article XII.13 of the Code of Economic Law) requires consent for cookies, except where they are strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested. That exemption applies to the sign-in cookies; for those, we merely inform you. For the analytics cookies of Google and Meta, consent is required — we ask for it with the banner at the bottom of the site, and you can change your choice above at any time. Refusing has no consequences whatsoever for the functioning of the site or the service.

7. Refusing or deleting cookies

You can refuse analytics cookies via the banner or via the buttons above; if you withdraw your consent, we immediately delete the analytics cookies already set. You can also block or delete all cookies via your browser settings. Please note that you will then no longer be able to stay signed in: the customer portal and the web app do not work without the necessary cookies. The public information pages will, however, continue to work as normal.

8. The mobile app

The AutoCheckIn app is not a web browser and uses no cookies. The app stores your sign-in token in the secure key storage of your device (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). What the app otherwise does with your data is set out in the privacy policy.

9. Questions

This cookie policy forms part of our privacy policy and our terms of use. Questions? Email autocheckin@aziri.eu or call +32 11 46 00 44.
